Acne Casued by Missing Birth Control

Has anyone gone thru this before?

Maybe about a month ago, I didn’t take my birth control for maybe about 4/5 days and then I started to notice my chin breaking out into the most severe acne I’ve ever had. Painful swollen, red acne. I wash my face twice a day, always have a regime of washing and moisturizing my face. I’ve taken a new pack, so I am on board with my birth control, but notice absolutely no changes from the acne on my chin. I thought it might be stress induced but I’m beginning to think it’s from missing birth control.

Does anyone have any tips on how to treat it? Or will it clear up once I’m thru my new pack of pills? I am so upset with the acne on my chin and am losing hope that it will clear up
