Feeling bummed after conditioning for cheer tryouts

Today's conditioning involved a mile run and my time was 14:10. That's 4 minutes worse than last time even though I'm working out more than I used to. I'm 15, 5'6", and 135 lbs. I'm mildly asthmatic but I used my inhaler before I started. I am on the heaviest day of my period but still. I've had no problem with the strength aspects of the conditioning so I thought I was in good shape but now that we've done cardio, it's clear I'm in terrible shape. I don't know how I'm going to make the team now.
