Scared about sex

i’m really scared about loosing my virginity.... but i really want to loose it. i’m not on the pill, 16 and have a bf, i’m really worried about going on the pill because of the side effects and i’m not sure my mum would let me and i just wouldn’t ask her, i want to have sex but i’m scared ... of getting pregnant but i’m ready now.
