Do you have to have sex for the majority of fertile week?

We grew up learning that “it only takes one time” to get pregnant. But we all know that to be far from the majority experience. Is it true that you need to have sex more than twice during fertile window to have a chance at becoming pregnant???

Lord have mercy we had sex about 9 times during my fertile window it was the most we’ve ever had sex in a 5 day span. I don’t know if that’s what did it but it was our 3rd month of active trying and 6th month off of birth control 🤷🏻‍♀️ I do know it led to a vaginal infection though 😅
