Blue vs pink?

So every now and then I see people talk about the differences between blue and pink dye pregnancy tests. How do they compare? Is one really better than the other?

They're just as reliable as each other. The only difference is the dye color. Thats it.  All pregnancy tests have to meet the same standards, no matter what dye color, brand, or price.

Blue dye tests are notorious for evaporation lines. These evaporation lines tend to have a grey tint to them due to the blue dye running across during the testing process, making them look like a faint positive when in fact no hCG was detected. 
Digital tests are quite accurate contrary to popular belief and easy to read but they are less sensitive, so I wouldn’t recommend taking one until you’ve missed your period - then again, I took a FR digital test 8 days from my next expected period & it came back positive and I was indeed pregnant. But for the best, most accurate results if you’re testing before your missed period pink dye tests are your best option. 
I think how you test is just as important though and I think that’s why so many women get questionable results. Anytime I peed directly on the test, I either didn’t get enough urine on it or too much & ended up with an unreliable or faulty test. So I’d suggest peeing into a cup and dipping your tests according to the instructions of course. I got that positive digital test after getting 2 negatives from traditional tests, so I didn’t know if could could trust the digital so I used the same 1 urine sample to take 3 tests at once to compare to one another. I think this is also a smart thing to do - if you get 2 negatives and 1 fp you can assume you’re probably not pregnant and vise versa.

Pink dye teats tend to have less questionable results. The blue ones give evap lines quiet commonly and other faults.
