Guy I’m dating wants me to be a housewife

The guy I’m dating is almost perfect. We’re both doing our junior year of pre-med, our personalities gel, his family loves me, his awesome kid loves me, he has an awesome gpa, he’s cute, and he was encouraging me to be anything I want to be....then yesterday he laid the bomb on me. To be a housewife.

This isn’t some 1950s show, it’s 2020. And he wants me to be his housewife. Yep.

He says that being a housewife would be a great life for me and that he could see me doing things in the community on the side, or writing (like I do aspire to do) on the side, or even have a degree, but he said ultimately he wants me to be his housewife. And wouldn’t budge.

He went on and on and said that housewives are well taken care of, happy, get to go shopping, etc., and I’m not saying they aren’t happy people, my own mom was one, but I told him I want to have my own finances, you know? Because what if we don’t work out? He got quiet but he still stands by what he said. He wants me to be his housewife. 🤦‍♀️

You guys idk what to do or say, I like him a lot but this is a def no lol
