Do you find that your pet is more scared of men than women?

We adopted a rescue cat. She was already almost a year old when we adopted her. We don’t know anything about her background. But it took her about a year to get used to my husband and I. It took more than a year for her to cuddle on my lap. She instantly trusted our young daughter. We have found that whenever we have visitors (we need caregivers and delivery people because of an accident), she runs and hides FOR HOURS when a man enters our apartment. But when a woman enters the apt, she runs out to greet them immediately. It’s probably their deep voice and size that scares her. The only man she trusts is my husband.
