Anyone recently deliver or about to soon?

Hi there, I’m 35 weeks pregnant and I’m curious to know how it went with your labor and delivery during this pandemic. I just had my dr appt & they said I will have to wear mask. I can’t imagine pushing in labor with a mask on. I would like to know if your hospital is mandating this also.

Honestly I don't mind wearing a mask because it's for the safety of the hospital staff BUT if my test comes back negative then I'm definitely not going to be wearing one the entire time. When staff leave its coming off. I already can't breathe in them!!!!
Also while in active labor.....nope. hell nope! Like I said I can barely breathe in them and during labor hahahaha 😅  they had to give me oxygen with my other kids. Idk how tf that will go with a mask.

I’m in NY and we don’t have to wear a mask as long as we get tested and it comes back negative. If you refuse a test you have to wear the mask

A week ago went to hospital to get monitored since I was having constant contractions and was told the same thing...Mask had to be on at all times,  including while delivery baby! Doctor said it was for everyone's well being and sadly she's right.

I asked my doctor last week and she said I’ll be wearing a mask.  Idn if they can actually force you to wear it the whole time while pushing bc it may affect breathing, but I’m gonna try my hardest to leave it on the whole time.  I want to protect all the staff.

My hospital told me that I will be aloud to take the mask off when I am in active labor!
