The uterus starts growing out of your pelvis at 12 weeks. I had cramping off and on because of this and by 14 weeks had such severe cramping that I was doubling over and it was coming in intense waves for a couple hours. Everything was fine. Turns out I had "growing pains", my uterus just couldnt wait and literally grew 3-4" up in 3 weeks. Basically if the cramping doesn't have bleeding associated with it (and after you have had a confirmed heartbeat after 10 weeks) you are likely just feeling your uterus grow, abdomen stretch and organs shift. I’d call your doctor. 
Cramps are normal but my doctor told me if they are like my period with or without bleeding i should call her.
