So I've attempted college twice now. Both times I was pursuing a BSN. Unfortunately during the first time, I had a lot going on, my aunt was diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer, I was just recently engaged, working as a restaurant manager and in the process of moving. I basically became a home health aid to my aunt in her last month of life. With all of that, I thought it was best to put school on hold, I dropped out in my second semester of my core classes. Fast forward about 2 years later and I enrolled again, same school same program. About a week before classes began I began having trouble breathing and was running a high fever, after days of suffering at home I went to the hospital and was diagnosed with cat scratch fever. I was told to remain home for another week after getting antibiotics. This overall put me 2 weeks behind in my classes, when I finally returned, I busted ass, got back on track then got hit with a summons for grand jury duty, which just happened to start during the time of my midterms. I spoke with my instructor and she informed me that there was no way that I could do my midterms at a later date, that I had to do it when it was scheduled, which of course, I couldn't miss jury duty. I was defeated and withdrew from classes again.

Since that second withdraw, I've really contemplated if I was to pursue a nursing degree. I know I want to help people, but I don't know if I want to take care of them. I want public service. I've thought of being a lawyer, nurse, police officer, etc I've recently moved to Florida and have thought of even pursing a degree in marine biology because I love animals, all kinds. I just don't have anything tugging on my heart. I'm applying to college again for this fall but I don't know what to major in. I can't go undecided due to the fact that i am gettinf VA education assistance, and they require a major in order for them to pay for school, I only have another 4 semesters for them to cover the cost of college, so I want to make sure to take advantage of the opportunities before they run out.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
