Consent Question - Too Scared to say NO
I was watching Law & Order:SVU and something I have been through kinda sparked this question ... so almost all the time when the detectives ask the “victim” if they said “no”.
Well, What if they didn’t say the word “no” but told the other person early on that they didn’t want to do anything - they didn’t really take that as a “no” and just keep “pushing” you until you finally give up and get it over with ... Is that really consent?
Mind you I have said no before and he’s gotten really mad at me- kinda guilt trips me saying I’m “actin different all of a sudden “ or that “I would do it with anyone else but him” ... I just didn’t want to.
I’ve been in really bad situations where a guy basically beat me - and I don’t even remember that night that much.
But also - when I’ve finally just give in I just lay there and let him do whatever- and he’ll ask me if I want him to do it - I don’t - I’m just a little scared he’ll get mad.
