Spiked a fever .. Baby born via emergency c section

Allison

Salem Glory.. born via emergency c section on Memorial Day in the midst of a pandemic. I was induced last night only to be diagnosed with Chorioamnionitis. I spiked a fever of 103 and was puking a ton. My body didn’t stop shaking for about 7 hours. She was reacting poorly to the fever and all the medications her heart rate spiking over 220 bpm. After a few tests to check her reactions and a meeting amongst the staff the doctor said it was best to take her via cesarean immediately. I was so nervous. I also was drugged to the core. An epidural.. shots of lidocaine.. fentanyl.. anti nausea meds.. anti anxiety medication.. Tylenol and three different antibiotics later she made her debut to the world at 6:45 am weighing 7lbs 4oz and every bit of perfect and healthy. I love her so much and am beyond relieved she’s finally here in my arms. I haven’t slept for 36 hours and am excited to have hopefully a way less stressful night!!
