How long were you dilated!?

I’m 36 + 5 weeks, went to the OB today and I’m 1 cm dilated! *cue happy dance* cause I’m miserable and feeling every bit of this boy in my pelvis lol. 
I’ve heard of women being 3 cm dilated for up to 3 weeks before labor kicked in. My mom wasn’t dilated with any of us until the day she went into full blown labor. Excited to see your responses!

Dilation means nothing until active labor unfortunately. I was 3cm and 80% effaced for 3 weeks before my water broke 😂

I was 1 cm dilated for like a month. And I didn’t dilate anymore until I went into labor. I showed up to the hospital crying of pain and I was 2 cm.

You can be 1cm dilated for weeks. I had GD and was scheduled to be induced. Wasn't even dilated at my last checkup. The day before my induction I start getting contractions at 2am.  They ended up calling me and asking if I'd like to come in that day and I told them I was already in labor😂 lost my mucus plug and all didnt go to the hospital until my scheduled time at 5pm and was only 1cm dilated 13 hours after contractions started

With my third baby I was 95% effaced, 4cm dilated, and he was at a 0 station from 36 weeks until I was induced at 40+5. He didnt check me until 36 weeks so I'm unsure what week my cervix started changing.

I was one centimeter dilated at 30 weeks pregnant. When I went into labor at 37 weeks I was 2 maybe 2 and a half. Took me 24 hours to get to ten centimeters.
