LH SURGE ON OVULATION KIT

I used clear blue digital ovulation kit. is it normal to have 4 days straight with smileys? is it possible to have LH surge in 4 days? I thought it will be only from 12-36 hours after the first LH surge? If I have LH surge, does it mean that i have released a mature egg that is ready for fertilization? Thanks to anyone who can answer me.
