i’m in a committed relationship so std’s aren’t an issue .. but i’m on the pill, the combination pill taken perfectly .. does my boyfriend need to pull out? or can he finish inside? realistically what’s the % difference between the two while on birth control .. i’ve been an active user for over 10 years I know everything there is to know except this question lol

Combination pills when taken perfectly are 99.7% effective. If he pulls out in addition to the pills, it’s 99.8% effective. So, either u way ur very well protected & it’s completely up to u whether ur comfortable with him pulling out or not.

The pill taken perfectly is more than 99% effective so you’re chances of pregnancy are incredibly low. If you feel more comfortable with him pulling out then do that - but there really is no need if you take the pill right. 
I’ve been using the pill for the last 9-10 years or so and never had a scare. 
The only time to be cautious is if you have diarrhoea or vomit around the time you take your pill because that can reduce the effectiveness. And if you ever get prescribed any other medications, it is always worth asking whether it interferes with the pill, just to be sure.
