How does/did your 2nd degree tear feel PP?

I am only a few days PP with a second degree tear. I can barely walk and when I do stand and attempt it I get sharp shooting pains on my tear. I am staying on my meds but am just So SORE and the pinching feelings make it unbearable to be moving much. What is normal?

Mine isnt bad and easily managed with the hazel pads, dermaplast spray, and ibuprofen. 600 every 6 hours and I feel fine

Not sure what’s normal, but I never took meds for mine (I don’t take meds for anything though) and the pain was never unbearable. Most of my pain was when I would sit to breastfeed and obviously going to the bathroom. Now at 3 weeks PP, I’m getting itching and pinching feelings as well as some pain while standing sometimes. But still not terrible.
How many days PP are you? Maybe your pain is more due to birth than your tear.

Hi! I’m 7 days PP and I still feel discomfort due to my 2nd degree tear.  But, mine feels more of a heaviness in my vagina rather than shooting pains. I am also still feeling the burning when I pee. I am using ibuprofen 600 every 6 hours but if I don’t stay on top of that I begin to feel that same discomfort.

That doesn’t sound normal. It hurt a lot for me to move but I was still able to go about my day just very slow. I’m 16 day PP and I’m moving and doing everything like normal. 
You may have to make an appointment with your OB make sure you don’t have an infection or tear a stitch

1stbaby bad second degree tear first time I got off the bed I thought my insides were about to  fall out pain was awful felt like it took forever to heal felt swollen aching and just pained in general 
2nd baby 2nd degree tear 10days pp it feels so much better than last time just very bruised  keep up with pain killers preferably an anti inflammatory like ibruprofen of you can take it keep your feet up don’t over do it use cool pack a few times a day xx

I had mine done a week ago and they are ok, feels a bit tight down there if that makes sense, but its not painful at all.
I had them checked yesterday at my midwife appointment and she said its healing perfectly

Im 2 weeks PP and i still have a good amount of discomfort. I was in a great deal of pain the first week, but this second week has been much much better, less pain and more just uncomfortable. Sitting is still not ideal for me, and I tend to lay down or sit leaning on one side on the couch. I definitely felt some pinching the first few days when I would get up and go to the bathroom and such. My advice would be to take it easy and don’t try to do it all, and if you are unsure about anything call your doctor! You know your body best so if it feels like it hurts more than it should, theres no harm in calling them and asking. Hope you start to heal quickly!!

I’ve always needed stitches with my births so I can’t say for a second degree but with my first it got really sore as I think it got a little infected. So I had a bath with salt in it (I just used table salt) and did that maybe three times a week and it really helped it heal. Maybe give that a go and see if it helps with the pain?

It felt great compared to the 3rd degree and broken tailbone I had with the previous baby. Haha But for real, it’s normal to have soreness, stinging, and even a tearing feeling with any stitches. If you feel you’re overdoing it, sit down and rest. Getting up too fast and stretching too much can tug at the stitches, making them hurt more.

I think I started feeling better around 4-5 days pp.  I had sever swelling though, which made it worse.  
Today I'm 9 days pp and there is no pain and ahsny been for a while.  Im still bleeding though.
