Shopping with little ones?

Question

I have read some backlash on grocery shopping with your little ones. 
We live in NY. I actually had covid 19 weeks ago and my husband works full time at home. We really need to go grocery shopping and before the pandemic I would use his stroller and bring him with me. 
Are any other mommas shopping with their little ones? People in NY have unfortunately been ruthless and sometimes inconsiderate during these times so I just want to make sure I’m not crazy going with him in his stroller.

I brought my older son to target with me and he sat in the "dirty" cart with a mask on while I wore my 1 year old in a carrier.  I needed supplies for my house.
People will judge you for anything.  If you are comfortable I would say bring them.
I don't care what random strangers say to me or behind my back.

I used to bring my son but I don't now. I have seen some very creative things for moms to keep their kids safe as well as get their shopping done. I think it is disgusting and reprehensible to judge a woman that has to bring their child to the store! You don't know their circumstances and to judge is just gross.

Ive brought my 2.5 year old to the store with me every single time ever since the pandemic started, it doesn’t really scare me. Also I have no one to watch her. I bring my own clorox wipes and wipe down the cart and lay down a towel in the seat for her and she doesn’t touch anything in the store. 90% of the people here wear a mask, I don’t because honestly it doesn’t matter. When I went to school for dental assisting they made sure we understood even though we were wearing masks we were still susceptible to catching things. I just make sure I wash my hands as soon as possible when I get home and not touch my face, also I have germ x in my car and toddler friendly disinfectant wipes for my kiddo

I've taken my daughter out twice. I took Clorox wipes and one of the grocery cart covers. Wiped doen wherever she could reach, then put the cover on, then her in and gave her a toy so she would be occupied. I don't pay enough attention to other people to notice if they're giving me looks. I just try to get in and get out as quickly as possible.

I am not taking my little out shopping. There are other adults in our home who can either go shopping or watch him while I go shopping. Do whatever you want, but I wouldn’t take the risk of dad is around.

I haven’t but I haven’t needed to. If you need to then go. Take the stroller and use the canopy to block your babies face from others. Unfortunately you can’t stop people from being assholes. Luckily we don’t have that here. Do what you need to do ❤️

I would do whatever I could to avoid taking the baby. Can you go during nap time and have your husband listen for him on the monitor just in case he wakes up early? Or go early in the morning or in the evening when your husband is not working? What about grocery delivery? In the city you should have at least some grocery delivery options. 
Ultimately if it’s impossible to leave baby with your husband or use grocery delivery then take him but having him in a stroller while you push a cart is tough. Could you baby wear instead?

I had to bring my daughter last weekend because my husband was out of town and I had nobody to watch her. I brought her in her stroller so she didn’t touch anything or interact with anyone. Nobody said anything to me, but I did get some dirty looks 🤷🏻‍♀️ we needed food. Do what you have to do.
