Baby afraid of beach!??

We took our little guy briefly to the beach today. He totally freaked out when he hit the sand and the ocean was not fun either. Anyone else’s little ones react this way?
He was also similar on grass but has since warmed up. Sort of...

Our beach is still closed but she had no trouble trotting around the sand picking up garbage in front of the barriers this morning!

My oldest girls were the exact same way, but I was so shocked to see that my April baby is a mermaid at heart. She loved it 😆

My niece was the same way. She wasn't a fan of the sand but the sound of the ocean freaked her out like crazy. My son thinks grass is a demon sent by the devil himself and it is hilarious to see him come to grips with it. I just try to get him on it as much and as often as possible. We plan to so the same thing with the beach and our lake house shore line. Just keep trying and he will get used to it!
