Should I get her tested for the corona?

So last week we couldn’t stay at our house. I’ll attach a photo of why but basically we didn’t have a floor in most of our house. We spent the week at Myrtle Beach. We didn’t have an option of staying with family. 
We stayed to ourselves. We went out on the beach a few times. We did have to go to the store and get food for the room. We had food delivered and went out twice. 
We’re home now and Monday she woke up with a fever of 101.4... now it’s Thursday and she still has a high fever and diarrhea and she hasn’t slept all week. Her doctor sent in a prescription for antibiotics without seeing her because she gets ear infections a lot and she said that probably it. 
My husband is an essential worker he’s in and out of restaurants and hotels all day. 
Should I get her tested? She isn’t really showing other symptoms.

I would recommend only testing if it will change your management. Right now anyone presenting with fevers, cough, diarrhea are considered presumptive positive given high community rates of covid. The test is not pleasant and if it will not change what you do then don't bother. If your husband is an essential worker and your child may have covid this may impact his going to work and you may want to check with his supervisors. But honestly management at this point is supportive care, Tylenol, fluids, rest. Unless there is respiratory distress it won't matter whether or not you test. Also keep in mind some tests have false negative rates of up to 40% and I'm not sure of their sensitivity/specificity in children.

I just had to get my son tested today for Covid 19. He got 12mos vaccines May 20th. On the 26th he got a fever and vomited. They said that’s normal after a week (the fever. The vomit was later in the evening after I talked to them.) His fever would spike to 103* at bedtime. Yet he’d play and act fine. Just no appetite. I called back Friday to see if he should still be having a fever. She called in a Rx for the test for today. She said 3-4 days is not normal for vaccine fevers. And with the vomiting and he had 4BMs Friday too. She said it’s most likely a GI bug. But she had to rule out Covid. 
However where he’s gotten anything I have no idea. My children haven’t been anywhere since mid March aside from his trip to the doctors for shots. And my 2-3x month trip to the store (myself). We don’t even do take out, delivery, fast food, nothing.  So where he got anything is beyond me?? I’m even quarantining my mail 😂 and wiping everything I buy with Clorox wipes. So no idea. I’d say just listen to doctor. They basically made the decision for me for him to get tested.

Id go by your doc, if your not happy speak to them and tell them your concerns and he will advise you what to look out for / if/when youbshould test etc thats their job x

I would wait a little longer. My guy actually started having a fever Sunday afternoon that finally went away yesterday. At one point it was up to 102.7. No other symptoms really besides being incredibly uncomfortable and also not sleeping well at all. I was on the phone with nurses and doc almost every day it seemed like because I was so scared he had corona too. In the end it was just a little bug of some kind still don’t know what caused it. I would say if she’s still running a fever by this weekend to take her in to be seen or of course if other symptoms start presenting. Hope she feels better soon.
