Inductions starting from Zero?

I’m 40+5 and am scheduled for an induction Monday night. Just wanna hear stories of moms who started an induction from scratch. I am not dilated at all, cervix is still high, and I’m starting to feel hopeless and very scared of ending up with a c section. I know in the end I’ll have my baby safely and blah blah but I’m a ftm and truly wanted to experience a natural progression of labor instead of being induced so I’m feeling super bummed and sad that it’s probably not going to happen. What were your experiences of starting an induction with a closed, uncooperative cervix? lol. How long did it take from start to finish? Did you end up having a cesarean?
