"not really old" (funny story not baby related)

I often help at the children's theater in our community. Every year we do a private production from a boys home that takes in "problem children" from the foster care system and teaches them socal skills, financing, arts and trade programs! (Because the production is private, we're thankfully still able to do that this year!) Well I was at the theater today helping the director prepare and her son (who is 8) asked me how old I was. I said "I'm 24" then he thinks for a moment and replied "well, 24 isn't really old yet" 😂🤣 I couldn't help but giggle to myself
