Hi moms, I'm 34 weeks pregnant and I just found out that my little boy has a cord around his neck, I'm really worried and but the doctor said it happens sometimes and its nothing to stress about. Has any mom dealt with this before?

My second son was born and the cord was around his neck and around his belly. He was a little blue but healthy. As long as they know in advance they will be able to monitor closely. Best of luck mama

Oh no, I’m sure he will be okay. If they would’ve seen a problem with it they would’ve sent you for a c section.

It means they need to check before you give birth and if it's still there around the neck, they need to pay extra attention to baby's heartbeat etc.
It is usually not an issue but sometimes a cord can restrict the blood flow to the brain which can be dangerous.
They should be paying extra attention and if baby is showing signs of problems they will perform an emergency c-section.
It can resolve by the time of birth and even if not, it is usually not a problem!

I was born with it wrapped around my neck and was blue. It’s pretty common, but make sure you chat with your dr so you’re prepared! My mom had no idea so it was pretty scary for her
