My practice has a midwife and an OB and you get whoever is on call unless there are complications requiring an OB. I prefer the midwife but I’m fine with either. It will be a hospital birth

Our hospital (UCSF) has both OB’s and certified midwives on staff. Our L&D team will have a nurse, nurse assistant, and either an attending OB or a CM in the room.
