Did anyone see the article on covid19 and pregnancy?

So I’m actually scared now, basically the article said that if you have covid your placenta gets blood clots, parts of it die, moms go into preterm labor or stillbirth. Wtf? I’m literally scared now..

Dont trust that article. Theres a ton of misinformation out there ment to scare people right now. Its not true.

My doctor said the only proven risk currently is that, like ANY illness, it can throw the mom into labor. And if she's too early then of course there's a chance the baby won't make it. But other than that nothing has been proven. Talk to your doctor, they stay up on all of the studies coming out.

Where in the world are you reading that? No reputable medical/scientific source is even reporting any increased risks with pregnancy and most are even saying infants are unaffected. They’re still recommending breastfeeding even if positive.

Sorry, remember ed uncorrectly in my last comment. Not 18, but 20. What matters is the last sdntence, and if you read the study, it still talks about minor defects to investigate further.

Talk it trough with your doctor.
I read the article too, it had 18 subjects and is just a guide to next studies, it didn't tell it is the absolutely truth, but only that is what they found. Also most of your placenta you don't need. Baby can live off less than half of it quite well, so it is not a too big thing to worry about.
