Would you buy your baby things/clothes from a second hand store?

The only things I would not consider second hand are the car seat and crib. I want peace of mind knowing safety measures were followed on those items.

I’m pretty much getting everything used. Except for the car seat. Why spend a bunch of money on stuff you have to get rid of in a year or two? Also it’s bad for the environment to do so

I am on several “upscale resale” groups on Facebook. It’s all used clothes, but are usually name brand or nicer clothes at a great price. I buy and wash them before my daughter wears them, but hey.... I like to save money. Lol I bought several really nice outfits for my son due this fall. I don’t see anything wrong with it, especially if they are in good condition.

Yes, I’d prefer second hand baby items. They grow so fast and most things and clothes we don’t use more than a few months before my little girl outgrows it. I just make sure whatever I’m buying is in good condition (which I’ve never had a problem with) and I wipe down/disinfect/wash before using it.

If I find things that aren’t overpriced for what they are. Some people/places ask way too much for their used stuff I’ve seen some pretty ridiculous things out there lol

Hell yeah. 
I got most of our stuff from thrift stores and friends yards sales and hand me downs. 
I will not got a crib, mattress, and carseat used. 
But our bouncer, our glider, swing was used. I cleaned everything made sure it worked ect.

We’re intending on getting most of it secondhand, bar a car seat and a cot mattress. We’re being gifted a travel system and a travel cot by our parents but we would’ve got those secondhand too. We’ve already got a bunch of stuff, including a cot, Moses basket, room thermometer, breast pump, baby bath, and looooooads of clothes 😅

Adding to this, I have gotten so much fantastic stuff thats basically new from our local buy nothing group. It has saved us hundreds of dollars at this point!

Heck yes! I cannot justify spending so much money on an outfit that a baby will wear for a maximum of three months. This pregnancy it's been hard because we found out the gender the first week of march and then everything shut down around us due to the pandemic so I actually had to buy clothes new. I didnt buy a ton new. I also bought used from poshmark but I'd say a good chunk of this childs wardrobe is new. I stuck to a limit though. If I couldn't get an outfit for under $6 with a coupon code I would not buy it.

Yes, totally would buy slightly used items. I worked at a children’s consignment store in between college and my first real job. I agree with the only thing that I wouldn’t buy used is a mattress, car seat, or food items. Everything else is fair game. The actual crib you can look for damages and see how it is built 🤷🏼‍♀️.
