Is it okay if my 6 month old baby went 8 hours without eating?

I feel so terrible I overslept just this ones and I my son went 8 hours straight without eating. I always feed him every 4 hours. But today I overslept by accident. Iam worried that its not good for his health or his stomach will get use to not eating for long periods of time

I mean was he awake and you were sleeping? Or were you both sleeping ?

If this was overnight, there’s no issue. If he gets enough during the day, then feeding over night isn’t needed. If it was during the day, once isn’t going to ruin anything. He’ll be fine! It’s all ok mama, you’re taking great care of your baby.

There’s no need to wake a baby to eat during the night once they hit birth weight. At 6 months old my baby was going 10 hours without eating most nights. You and baby get some sleep during the night!!

I feel its totally fine. My son started sleeping threw the night at 3 months on his own & I figured why ruin that lol & trust me he is not anywhere near behind on his growth or being fed. Hes 5 now & has slept threw the night every night since then.

Girl dont stress my baby does the same thing and she is 7 months almost 8. My momma always says let sleeping babies sleep. They will wake up when they are hungry. And if your baby is taking 8 or more ounces if milk they are good for at least 4 to 5 hours. But if he was tired let him sleep.
