Miscarriage risk with IVF?

Question

Does anyone know if you’re more likely to miscarry with IVF, especially after stopping progesterone? I haven’t done my FET yet, but for some reason I am terrified of a miscarriage, and I think I’ll be super worried about stopping progesterone at 12 weeks!

If you do the genetic screening to rule out chromosomal abnormalities, the risk of miscarriage is actually slightly lower with IVF.  
That being said, my first embryo transfer did end in an early miscarriage, or chemical pregnancy.  But our second embryo transfer went well and I gave birth to our beautiful daughter 23 days ago!

I'm glad I'm not the only one! I've already told my husband I know I'm gonna be super stressed about stopping the progesterone.

My 12 weeks you should be fine. If there was a risk the RE wouldn’t have you stop. The only reason to continue progesterone the whole time or longer is if the cervix thins. It helps keep it thick to support the pregnancy.
