Opinions?

I showed a guy im talking to my old fashion designs and a dress I made that was in a fashion show cause I wanted to share something personal with him. He said "I want you to wear it for me" I said "I didn't make it for my size" (I made it for a size 8, a friend of mine modelled it) and he said "useless" and that was what he said. He said he was just joking around but eh. I've shown one other guy I was seeing in the past and he really complimented it and praised my work. Is it just cause he's a guy and guys don't really care about that sorta stuff?
