How to wean my nursing loving 1 yo?

Hey ladies,

My son turned 1 and otherwise I’d love to continue nursing, but I’m going thru the second chemical pregnancy (in a row) and I’m devastated. I’ve read dozens of breastfeeding moms who say the same thing: nursing while TTC has caused them multiple chemicals (my guess is due to low progesterone).

My son still nurses 4-6 times a day but I know he’s not getting really anything. Maybe a half an ounce. He just does it for the comfort and that’s why it kills me to stop nursing or wean to a 1 session per day, but I can’t keep getting these chemicals anymore 😭 He also cosleeps with us and nurses for comfort 2-3 times a night but that I’ll tackle on my own.

How did you ladies wean off your little one without them getting hurt and sad? Did you just cuddle a lot while giving a bottle or how did you do it? Did your little one take it well?
