Would you guys take your then 8 1/2 month old to the lake for July 4th weekend?

We were invited to go to Lake Mojave over the holiday weekend but my friend suggested we leave our baby behind. Says it might be around 100degrees and she’s worried it’s too hot for him. If we went i planned on bringing a portable fan, staying in the shade with him, or going in the lake. I’m a FTM so this is new to me.

We actually just went to a local lake in GA and we had a lot of fun! There was plenty of shade and the water was nice and cool. Just double up on sun block and a hat and a UPF long sleeve bathing suit :)

We went away for the weekend to a lake. We even hit a state park with waterfalls. My LO loved it. Yes it was hot! But we stayed in the shade and stayed on top of sunscreen.

Surely people live there? And have babies? He'll be fine, plenty of suncream, plenty of fluids, light layers x

I mean babies deal with hot temps all over the world right? I think ditto shade, and sunblock, also check for dry lips to make sure baby doesn't get dehydrated.
