Anybody here have Scoliosis, spinal fusion surgery? I did, a little over 9 years ago. Im 5 weeks and 3 days and my ob says the earliest they can see me is 8 weeks. Im not sure if this is the right group but any and all information is welcome💕

I had spinal fusion for scoliosis. I am now due with my second baby. 
I couldn't get an epidural or spinal with my first. It was a failed induction that led to a csection. With my back, I had to be under general anesthesia for the c section. Baby was born healthy and happy.

I haven’t had surgery but I have diagnosed mild scoliosis which I have been having chiropractic treatment for for 3 years now which has improved dramatically. I really didn’t think this could have effect on pregnancy or epidural so this has opened my eyes Thankyou for sharing I have no input just wanted to Thankyou - good luck x

I have seen is discussed previously that moms that have scoliosis have to meet with an anesthesiologist early to determine if epidural is an option (if that’s part of your birth plan). I do have a close girl friend with spinal fusion which required her to have mandatory c-sections. I’m sure it’s very specific to your medical history.
