Anxiety

Saria

I am currently on my third pregnancy. I am 20 weeks and 2 days. Had my anatomy scan last Friday and found out we are having our first baby girl, we have two boys. We are all excited. However, I have been dealing with really bad anxiety of having a miscarriage this time around. I have never experienced a miscarriage and had two healthy babies previously. Every time I go to the doctor everything is perfectly fine with baby girl. At the anatomy scan her heart rate was excellent and she was extremely active. I can feel her moving and everything but for some reason I have this high anxiety of losing her. Not sure if its because of this pandemic and the uncertainty of everything or what. Is anyone else experiencing any anxiety?

I think it’s just the time of the world we are living in. I’m 21 weeks with a sweet little baby who is active all day long and the second she stops I panic. I worry in between appointments and I think of the worst out come that could happen before each appointment. Well, I should say I used to! It’s definitely gotten better because I know stress and anxiety just puts stress on the baby so I try to think positive! Buy a head band or a cute outfit when you’re having scary thoughts. Look up cute girl names and Pinterest baby girl outfits! Keep your thoughts regarding your baby positive and exciting. Don’t look up miscarriage stories or chances of having a miscarriage at this point. Be thankful you are at this point and keep it positive going forward!

Yes I have so much anxiety this pregnancy.. it’s my second. I have seen too many terrible things happen to close friends recently and I think that’s why my anxiety is so bad. I just want to enjoy the next few months but as soon as I start getting super excited the anxiety comes back :(
