Second baby shower 4 years after first one?

I’m going to be having my second child early February, and I don’t know if I should have another baby shower. It’s four years or will be just about 5 years after my son... is it appropriate?

I dont see why it wouldn’t be appropriate. Even it you have another boy, every baby deserves to be celebrated.

I’m one of those that was taught growing up that it’s tacky to have a baby shower after the first child. I only had one for my first child and none for my second or for the baby I’m pregnant with now. But that being said, I really don’t know why it was such a big deal. Have a second baby shower! Nobody gets offended being invited to a baby shower and if anybody does then they won’t come and it’ll probably be more fun without them anyway. 😆

We had our son dec 2015 and due with baby girl in a month. We’re having our virtual baby shower tomorrow (was planning on a normal one doing a baby sprinkle, but ya know)
We got rid of a lot of baby stuff with our son, and especially with having a girl this time. 
Plus even gifts aside-why not celebrate a new member of the family.

If you have people who want to throw you one then I say go for it. It’s only inappropriate if you are asking people to throw you one in my opinion. I had my second son 8 years after my first and I refused to let people throw me one, I hate being the center of attention and I had saved nearly all my previous boy clothes, I realized later I hurt some feelings by taking away their excitement and joy of throwing me a shower. They wanted to do it bc they love me and the baby.... A good idea could be a “sprinkle” instead of a shower and just say something like come celebrate the new baby... gifts optional. If you hate to ask for gifts again🤷‍♀️
