Does anyone else worry about this?

So i am going to be 24 soon and i still don’t have my career (one year left of nursing school), so i’m personally not looking to really get married or anything until a few years. However, i think that dating rn is really important and it’s important to take it seriously. I’ve been dating my bf for five months, things have been going well. Quarantine has got us a little stuck tho and we’ve had a little bit of issues.... he wouldn’t be as romantic as before. I talked about this with him and now he’s better. I also feared that he was just using me for sex. But i talked about that with him too and he denied it. Now for all my ladies that are around the same age as me or older, did you guys date to have fun at this time or date to be serious? Cuz i feel like i’m heading to a heartbreak if he’s dating for fun and i’m dating for serious.

I just broke up with my boyfriend of 7 years. I met him when I was 21 and and now I’m 28 years old, I’ve alway been very vocal about what I wanted out of the relationship but obviously he didn’t take it serious as I did. I’ve always wanted to get married and have children before the age of 30 but that’s going to happen anymore. I’m angry at myself for not walking away sooner but some people learned different than others. I’ll find my king out there someday

Just turned 26. I started dating a guy during COVID and we are definitely serious. We’ve had that discussion. Both of us have our careers but I’m going to grad school soon. I can tell what direction I’m headed in with him. Maybe that’s the conversation you and your boyfriend need to have. What’s the future looking like together type of stuff.

I’m 23 and just got married to my husband last January. I think the purpose of dating is to find someone to spend your life with so I never really messed around. I think it’s important to have those conversations with your partner and the sooner the better. If you feel like you’re heading for heartbreak already that’s not a good sign so make sure you have that open communication and be honest with yourself.

Dating is important. I did both. Dating to see options, what you like, what you don't,  is how you don't settle. 5 months is not very long, and most people do not have established careers at 24. 
If marriage amd family is something you want with your life you just have to test it out to see if it is something you want with them, as they are. Not something you want and that person will work if they change xyz. Remember relationships have ups and downs. The beginning is always to impress you and those gestures will come and go. If you expect this constant flow of romanticism, you need to be very clear and ready for disappointment I'd think.

I’m 23 (24 this month) I only dated to marry. This meaning if in the first month or two I didn’t think I wanted to be with the guy for long term then I broke it off or didn’t put a label on it. I met my husband at 19. He’s like me and dates to marry. He made his intentions very clear from the start, which was so refreshing to have a man state that he sees the relationship going long term. Well fast forward 5 years and we have been married almost 2 and living together for 4 years. We both have great careers and and trying to start our family.
