Ladies, am I over reacting?

My father in law has been a dick and pretty much told his son that I should do all the work for the kid because I don't work. Mind you, my husband has been off also. He told my husband that my mother inlaw did all of it on her own so why can't I? The reason being, he wanted my husband to help him with his daily job without pay and my husband has been saying no because he helps me with the kid.

I am still furious. This happened more than a week ago and we haven't been over at their house because I am afraid I might say something really mean and piss them all off.

Well, my mother in law wants us over today and I told my husband he can go and he can bring our baby so they can see him. I have no intentions of keeping my baby to myself because I'm pissed at them but I refuse to go there when I'm not ready to face them.

Anyways, they just left and I'm all alone in the house now. They only live 5 mins away. Did I over react? Am I wrong to feel this way?
