BF babies / night feeds
How many breastfed babies are still taking a night feed?
I feel caught in a rut, my daughter will wake up 4/5am for a feed (which I can’t complain about as she’s technically slept through as bedtimes 7pm) so I have no problem going in and feeding her because she’s probably thirsty - I know by now though the wake up is probably a habit but she’ll be thirsty too.
Problem is every mornings becoming a 50/50 gamble as to whether she’ll go back to sleep - some mornings she can go back down until 6:30ish other days she’s suddenly wide awake and rolls around and doesn’t go back to sleep UNTIL 6:30 / 7 which then throws our day out 🤔
I feel like the only way to stop that is to drop the night feed but I don’t want to do that really because 11 or 12 hours is a long time and if she did wake I’d feel like I’m denying her a drink.
Anyone else been in a similar situation?
