What are your baby shower plans?

Just had MIL ask me about this for the first time. Not sure if I feel comfortable having a shower or gender reveal party of any sort with the current pandemic. She suggested having the get together outside, spacing out seating,  wearing masks, ect. I'm curious, is anyone else planning their shower/party with social distancing? What are you doing and if you've already done it how did it go?

I’m having a normal shower in person in September or October. I, my family, and my friends aren’t afraid and neither is my doctor. I won’t live in fear with something that has a higher survival rate than the flu. It’s not a death sentence for a healthy 30 something year old, even being pregnant. If someone older doesn’t want to attend that’s fine, they don’t have to and can protect themselves. 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m not planning to have one. My midwife said that they’re expecting another wave of infections September October time :/

My mom is planning one for October! We plan to have it in person unless more strict guidelines are released! 
We will have some sort of back up if we can’t! But it’s my first baby and I want my shower! Lol

I don't want a baby shower, coronavirus or not, because I've never even been to one, and I'm just not a fan. We can afford everything we need. Gender reveals are ridiculous to me, so that's a no for us, too. 🤷🏻‍♀️
You could have a social-distanced shower in August, when the weather's nicer (obviously depending on the situation near you), or maybe a drive-by shower? The neighbours did a birthday that way.

We are going to do a drive by baby shower like my friend just did. Mom sits out on the porch and there is a table. Each person drives up and shows their gift and leaves it at the table. She had two tables. One for gifts and one for goodie bags to show appreciation. I like this idea because it keeps contact to a minimum and I have a high risk 5 yr old so I can enjoy them without possibly getting him sick. I don’t live in fear of this virus but it’s my life naturally. My son ends up in the hospital from regular colds so this is just our norm.

I’m due in November but was going to plan for aug or September to give time just incase he came early. But I’m not sure how I feel about it either. I had one for both my girls but with everything going on I’m not sure either. I’m going to wait till August and see how things are and decide

I don’t plan on having a shower, but this is my second. My first turns 1 this month, so we don’t need a ton of stuff. I plan on doing a ‘sip and see’ a week or two after baby is born where I will register for a few things.

I’ll be having a “sprinkle” since I’m having another boy and he’s 13 months so we don’t need much. 
But it’ll be regular.. we haven’t been social distancing with friends and family. My state never closed.
