When you went into labor (naturally) were you?

My first my water broke while laying down on the couch watching TV. My second I woke up at 3am and had a feeling I better start timing them.

I can't remember exactly. I had cramping for a couple days before labour started properly. I remember the cramps got worse while I was at my parents house so I was up and moving around (I actually remember walking down the stairs and having to stop twice to breathe, then leaning on the sofa to breathe once I got back to the sittingroom). In the car on the way home (at about 9:30pm) I found sitting down very uncomfortable and was complaining a lot but still not proper contractions. My proper contractions either started just before I got into bed or just after, so while relaxing/probably lying down.
This was all 2 years ago with my son, I've not had this baby yet.
