Pouring water on baby’s face trend?!?

I don’t know how controversial this is but I’ll post it here. There’s this trend going on, on TikTok where parents repeatedly splash water into their baby’s face. It’s obviously very upsetting for the baby’s. They start crying of course while the parent laughs. I just seen a video of someone doing it to what looks like a newborn. I’m so annoyed with this trend. I don’t understand why people think it’s funny?? A lot of people are saying CPS should be called on these parents, or at least the ones doing it to new baby’s. You can see these newborns struggling to breathe after. Do you guys think something like this is CPS warranted? I know CPS won’t just take their children without doing home inspections and check ups but still. Do you think this could fall under abuse?
