Standing.... Pain?

Question

My boy has begun pulling himself up into standing position on the sofa and even if you offer him your hands to hold. At first he thought it was amazing and was all smiles and happy about it but now he keeps shouting and kinda crying while standing? Has he just decided its not so fun or is he in pain? He stops as soon as he sits back down. Anyone else ever experienced this? Piccy of my cutie :)

My daughter did that when she was first learning to stand. I think she stood up and her legs got tired, but she was scared because she doesn't know how to sit down from standing yet. Once she started figuring that out she stopped. Hopefully that helps a little.

I agree with the others. They need time to build those legs muscles. Assist, exercise and massage/stretches. I used to massage my son’s legs and arms during every diaper change, but now that it’s become a battle of the fittest, I only massage his whole body after his bath during lotion sessions :p That’s pretty much the only time he doesn’t fight me 9/10 times 🙌🏻

I think it’s normal. It was like this for my baba when he first started to stand. But if you think it’s very uncomfortable for him. Try to do bicycle exercises with his legs so you can help his leg muscles
