How is the 3 hour glucose test done?

Don't eat before you go in. Theyll do the first blood draw when you first get there. Then you'll quickly drink the drink. Exactly 1 hour after that you'll have the 2and blood draw. Same thing 2 hours after and 3 hours after. Then you'll be done. Nothing to eat or drink during those 3 hours or before except sips of water.

For mine they gave me the glucose drink, I drank it at home and they took my blood to check glucose exactly 3 hrs after I drank it. The test had an issue so we redid it with an hour test. Not sure if there are different ways but that is what my ob did. Get the fruit punch flavor if you so the drink...makes it a lot less gross
