Gender reveal?

Hey everyone! I'm getting my nipt results tomorrow, and I'm debating on finding out the gender right away or having the nurse put it in a envelope and doing a gender reveal later. Which route did you take? What were the reasons? Did you regret your decision? This is our first baby if that makes a difference.

At first I didn’t want to know at all, then i wanted to know to surprise my bf only bc NO boy has been born in his family in 17 years so that’s the only reason we found out early. 
I would do a surprise. I loved seeing everyone’s reaction when we told them.

My husband and I aren't big on reveals.  We opened the email with results and then called our families.  We have no regrets!

First baby the nurse told me over the phone, then I called and told my husband over the phone & then we surprised our parents with “mystery” silly string, they didn’t know what color it was gonna be when they sprayed it. Second baby I wanted to be surprised & not just find out over the phone. So my husband found out over the phone & then he did a private reveal for me and my daughter using a cute rubber duck bath bombs that fizzled and turned the water pink or blue. I liked being surprised -privately lol. Then I went and bought confetti cannons for our parents and dropped them off at their house & FaceTimed then as they popped them,  social distancing style.

I had them write it down on a card and seal it with the ultrasound photos. My husband couldn’t go with me due to COVID restrictions so we opened up the card at home and found out the gender together.

I just had the lab tech tell me over the phone while I was home alone. It was actually really special and I’ll never forget it.

I plan on waiting to do a small gender reveal later, but honestly I’m just waiting to get the results confirmed by an US before telling people.

We had the nurse call my husband and I with the  results, and then we had a gender reveal (over FaceTime because of quarantine) for our family, and we LOVED it! We got the joy of finding out together and having a little secret to share, and also got to see our family’s reaction!
