Is staying in a hotel safe?

We have to stay in a hotel because we’re putting our house on the market and want to stay clear for a few days. Then I’ll come back and disinfect everything. But now that it’s time to go Im so nervous! We live in MD and some counties have reopened (we’re going to one that has) but I’m still just nervous. What are your thoughts?

It’s fine. I am living in a hotel currently. They are doing a great job keeping everything super clean. And you don’t need to bring your own sheets and pillows like another person mentioned. That’s a bit excessive.

I’ve heard hotels have been exceptionally clean lately due to regular checks. You should be alright- likely just as safe as most activities where people are around.

I’m sure it’d be fine! For me I’d just bring a sanitizing wipe to wipe everything down, keep a window open if you can, and I’d bring my own bedding :) it can only be so clean if the person who is cleaning it is sick is my thought. I’m sure it’d be fine and if you want to take those extra precautions no one would blame you!!

We stayed in one for a few days.
We wiped down everything again just to be safe when we first got there and put the remote in a ziplock baggie.  We also requested for no housekeeping while we were there so no one else was in and out.
Check with the hotel on what amenities they still have and which they don’t. The pool and breakfast were closed down when we stayed.

I’ve stayed in a hotel as well and they are taking extra precautions. For example, ours didn’t do any housekeeping services while we were there to prevent other people from being in your room leaving their germs/picking up germs from you that may be lingering in the air. So if we needed anything they usually take care of with housekeeping we had to call down for it to be brought up and left outside the door.
