What would you do?

I’m 15 weeks and 1 day pregnant.

Due to the Coronavirus my boyfriend hasn’t been able to attend any scans of antenatal appointments.

I spoke to my midwife today and I mentioned do they think he would be able to attend my 20 week scan. She said no.

Where I live in Jersey we have 5 cases and have gone from level 3 lockdown to level 2 already.

By July they are expecting us to be in Level 1 so we can basically get back to normal. As free explaining this in my appointment today she said they still won’t be accepting people who the appointment isn’t for.

I understand they need to do what they can do to save lives.

As we are wanting to find out gender together I asked would they be able to write it down so my boyfriend and I can find out together. She said no and I can either find out on my own or not at all.

I’m worried about not finding out as I really think it’s important for not only me but my boyfriend to start bonding with baby.

That being said The thought of finding out without my boyfriend would be upsetting.

Or do we not find out at all.

Any help or just tell me what you think you’d do in my situation.
