Sex after baby‼️

I’m almost 6 month PP. we started having sex again around 3M PP it was a bit uncomfortable for awhile but I’ve been 100% better since about 3 1/2 months PP. we have sex maybe once a month right now it’s almost a month and a half. It’s really taken a toll on me bc it brings my self confidence way down. I’ve talked to him about this several times but I get nothing. So when I know he’s doing it himself. It’s even harder on me. I’m not sure what to do I know I feel closer with him when we have sex but it’s not the same for him. To me it’s not just sex it’s intimacy and feeling close with your s/o. Is anyone else in the same boat or experienced the same thing? What did you do?
