Can anyone tell me what “scattered ovarian follicles” are? They were present on my US last week.

Are you currently pregnant? I’m not sure what it would mean during a pregnancy- but from my understanding scattered ovarian follicles often are a result of polycystic ovarian syndrome. What happens is that instead of a follicle maturing to release an egg, hormone imbalances can keep them from maturing and instead they accumulate in the ovaries.
