Wisdom teeth

Hi! So my boyfriend is getting his wisdom teeth out next Wednesday. I’m planning to drive to his house (he lives about an hour away, he also has an apartment next to his campus which is 5 minutes but he’s gonna be at home for his surgery) on Friday just to take care of him. Maybe snuggle him, rub his head. What was your experience like?? Being that it’ll be like day 2 what kind of food/drink (liquid diet) would he be able to drink? I could bring him Gatorade and if he can have soup I could bring him some soup.

We usually spend the weekend together but given that he will be recovering we aren’t going to. But I want to still see him and check up on him at least once
