Are you being bade to the kings supper?
Read Luke 14:7-26
The part I truly want to focus on is the parable Jesus gives. He tells a story about a man preparing a meal for many people. He sent his servants to call for them but each of them had an excuse as to why they couldn't attend the meal. So the servant reported back to the master about these men choosing the cares of the world to attend to instead of this supper. So the master told the servant go out into the streets, and city bringing in the poor, maimed, halt and blind. When he saw he still had room for more people; he sent his servant to find more people in highways, and hedges. Then this master made a declaration that none of the original men who were bade will taste of his super. Then Jesus ended this parable by saying no one who comes to him and hate not his father, mother, wife, children and even his siblings cannot be His(Jesus) disciple.
* Now Jesus doesn't want us to literally hate people. But, what Jesus was saying is no one on this earth should hold more weight in our lives that Jesus does. We are to be willing to lose relationships with anyone who would try to keep us from supping with Jesus. Anyone who would detour us from answering the call should not be allowed in our lives or be that close to us. So my question is, are you being called to sup with God? If so, who or what is compelling you not to answer the call. You can love them from a distance but you have to separate from all who hinder you. If you dont answer God, if you dont remove the thing(s) or person(s) that are hindering you so that you can answer the call, God will call someone else to take you place.
