Is now a good time to invest?

Do you think the economy will be better in 30 years?
I have a CD expiring in a couple weeks and I’m trying to figure out what to do with the money in it. Rolling it over to another CD isn’t a good option because the rates are garbage right now. So I was considering investing it in stocks and mutual funds. 
Thoughts?

Yes, mutual funds are better than single stocks (less risky.) Definitely will be up in 30 years.

30 years stocks will be up, its 7 years up 3 down, so in 30 years it will be up, mutual funds are less risky than single stock is, but its personal preference if you have a advisor and let them do all the trading and stuff to get good stocks, stocks go up and down but over a 30 year period your going to have way more good proffiting yesrs than down years,

30 years is quite a ways away and there’s no telling what can happen between now and then. It could be better or it could be worse. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I don’t know much about this kind of thing, but I do know stocks and bonds are a bit tricky and have a lot of unknowns as well. Investing in stocks have their risks of going down a lot too, as well as up. All the things you mentioned move along with the market and political climate/elections as well. Best advice anyone can give you is to speak with a professional about it. But 30 years is a long way away. I’m not even sure the most professional financial advisors would even know trends that far in advance.
