My Labor and Delivery Story
I was 40 weeks and 2 days and woke up at 548am with pain in my belly. I didn’t want to wake anyone if I wasn’t in labor and decided to walk around the house to see if my pain subsided. I had been to the dr the day before and was only dilated 1cm. I had been having symptoms for the better part of a month and felt the day was never going to come. I’d had diarrhea, contractions, etc. the day before labor I noticed what felt like my milk dropping a sharp needle like pain in my breast. I’d also had inconsistent contractions that day. As I walked the house I started getting contractions and I had diarrhea once again. I decided to shower to see if they would pass and also so I’d be clean if I was going into labor. After my shower I was timing my contractions and they were between 2-4 minutes apart and getting stronger. We decided to go to the hospital. They put a contraction and heart monitor on my stomach and my contractions continued to get stronger. We got to the hospital around 8am for frame of reference. They admitted me at 9am as I was 7cm dilated. My water broke on its own a little while later. She checked me again a while later and I was 9 1/2 cm. She had them call for the Dr because I felt the urge to push. I felt baby crowning and I could see the dr running towards my room. He got there just in time. She was born at 10:11am. ♥️
